###  ***[Late Bronze Age Society in Cyprus: Kalavasos-Ayios Dhimitrios publication](/late-bronze-age-society-cyprus-kalavasos-ayios-dhimitrios-publication)***

 **Alison South** studied Archaeology and Egyptology at Birmingham University and University College London in UK. She first came to Cyprus in 1969 as a student excavator at a Neolithic site on the north coast, and subsequently returned to the island almost every year for excavations and studies. From 1976 onwards, she was Assistant Director and later Co-Director of the Vasilikos Valley Project together with her husband Professor Ian Todd, and from 1979-98 was Director of excavations at the Late Bronze Age site of Kalavasos-Ayios Dhimitrios. In recent years as well as working on the publications of the Vasilikos Valley project she has edited and illustrated many archaeological publications. Alison published one book (Kalavasos-Ayios Dhimitrios Vol. II, SIMA LXXI:3, 1989) and many articles and chapters. She is an Honorary Research Fellow and recent Trustee of CAARI (Cyprus American Archaeological Research Institute).
