Please visit the [publication's webage](/publications/second-cataract-fortress-dorginarti-ne-12)** **Bruce Beyer Williams** was for many years a Research Associate at the Oriental Institute of the University of Chicago, where he authored 8 volumes of results from the Oriental Institute Nubian Expedition, with 2 further volumes in press, co-authored a volume on Nubian textiles, authored a book on early painted pottery, in addition to authoring numerous articles on the archaeology and history of Nubia and editing other works. He also curated the Robert F. Picken Family Nubia Gallery in the Oriental Institute Museum. He has co-directed and participated in excavations in Sudan since 1997. He is currently Research Associate of the Polish Centre of Mediterranean Archaeology of the University of Warsaw and Associate at the Oriental Institute of the University of Chicago.
