**Professor Kormysheva** is Chief researcher of the Institute of Oriental Studies, Russian Academy of Sciences, Moscow, Director of the International Educational-Scientific Centre for Egyptology (named by V.S. Golenishev), and Director of the International Educational-Scientific Centre for studying the civilization of ancient Sudan of the Russian State University for the Humanities, Moscow. Since 1996 she has been Director of the Russian Archaeological Mission at Giza (Egypt). She was Co-director of the Italian - Russian joint archaeological mission at Abu Erteila (Sudan) through 2020. Since 2022 she has been Director of the Russian archaeological Mission at Abu Erteila and Director of the Russian archaeological mission at Meroe (West Dragab). She is the author of more than hundred scientific publications – books and articles – on ancient Egypt and Sudan. She is Editor-in-chief of the series *Russian archaeological mission at Giza of the Institute of Oriental Studies*, Russian Academy of Sciences.
