###  ***[Excavations at Ra’s al-Jinz (Sultanate of Oman): The Coastal Sharquiyyah From the Neolithic to the Iron Age](/excavations-ra%E2%80%99s-al-jinz-sultanate-oman-coastal-sharquiyyah-neolithic-iron-age)***

 **Dr. Valentina Azzarà** is an associate researcher at the UMR 7041 (ArScAn – VEPMO - Nanterre), holding a PhD in Anthropology-Ethnology-Prehistory from the University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne. Her research focuses on the social complexification at the transition from the Neolithic to the Bronze Age and throughout the Early Bronze Age in South-Eastern Arabia. Her interests center on the socio-economic diversification and the dynamics of production/consumption of households and settlement complexes, on techno-morphological study of domestic architectures, on the functional organization and social value of space. As a member of different archaeological projects, V. Azzarà directed/co-directed fieldworks at various sites in the Sultanate of Oman, Egypt, Tunisia, Turkmenistan, and she was involved in research projects in Oman, Uzbekistan and Italy.
