### *Publication of the funerary temple and its architectural, archaeological, and statuary context*

**Yann Tristant** has held the Chair of Egyptology at KU Leuven (Belgium) since October 2021. Educated at the École du Louvre and Sorbonne University, he earned his PhD from the École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales (EHESS, Paris) with a dissertation on the Nile Delta prior to the Pharaonic period. He was subsequently a scientific member of the Institut français d’archéologie orientale (IFAO, Cairo) and later Associate Professor at Macquarie University, where he taught the archaeology of Egypt and the ancient Near East for ten years.

His research focuses on the Pre- and Protodynastic periods, the early Old Kingdom, funerary archaeology, and human–environment interactions, with a particular emphasis on geoarchaeology and landscape transformation. He has worked extensively in the Nile Valley and the Egyptian deserts, directs excavations at the necropolis of Dendera, and is preparing the publication of research conducted at Abu Rawash and in the Wadi Araba. He is also Editor‑in‑Chief of the international journal *Archéo‑Nil*.
