Marathon-Vrana Tumuli Project Colloquium

On January 15, 2018, the Athens Archaeological Society organized a colloquium for the presentation of the results of the Marathon-Vrana tumuli project (grant awarded 2014). The colloquium, which was generously supported by INSTAP and the Shelby White - Leon Levy Program for Archaeological Publications, took place at the prestigious Main Hall of the Athens Archaeological Society and included:
- a warm welcome and introduction by the Secretary General of the Athens Archaeological Society, Mr Vassilios Petrakos,
- 15' presentations by the principal participants of the project, namely Prof. Maria Pantelidou-Gofa, Dr. Nikolas Papadimitriou, Mrs. Anna Philippa-Touchais, Prof. Sevi Triantaphyllou, Prof. Gilles Touchais and Dr. Apostolos Sarris and Dr Nikolaos Papadopoulos
- a synthetic review by Prof. Joseph Maran, of Heidelberg University. 

The colloquium was highly attended and met with great success. Following the event, the Marathon-Vrana team received invitations for public presentations at the University of Thessaloniki and the University of Thessaly.
