PCSX (Publication of the 1975-1977 Excavations of the Courtyard of the Xth Pylon) in Karnak

Dr. Guillaume Charloux, graduated from the École du Louvre and from the French Biblical and Archaeological School in Jerusalem, received his PhD in Near Eastern Archeology from Paris 1 Sorbonne University. He is currently a research engineer (permanent position) at the French National Center fo Scientific Research (CNRS, UMR 8167, Orient & Méditerranée, Paris). Since 2010 he has been directing the archaeological and epigraphic mission Oasis of Desert Arabia, grouping together several major sites of Arabia: al-Bad' (codirector S. Sahlah, KSU), Camel Site (codirectors M. Guagnin, Max Planck Institute & A. AlSharekh, KSU) and Dûmat al-Jandal (codirector R. Loreto, L'Orientale). He also coordinates several research projects in Karnak (Egypt, CFEETK USR 3172 CNRS - MoA), including the excavations of the temple of Ptah (director C. Thiers, CNRS) and the publication of 1975 -1977 archaeological excavations of the courtyard of the Xth pylon (PCSX, with R. Angevin, French Ministry of Culture). His research interests focus mainly on the origins of the Karnak temples, as well as the formation and evolution of ancient oases in Arabia through time.
