The Fortress Mound at Tel Arad: Excavated by Yohanan Aharoni from 1962 to 1967

Senior Lecturer at the Jakob M. Alkow Department of Archaeology and Ancient Near Eastern Studies, Tel Aviv University. He participated as an area supervisor at the excavations of Ramat Rahel (2007–2010) and Tel Azekah (2012–2016), and since 2018 he has been co-director of the Israeli–American archeological project at Tel Hadid, Israel. Since 2020 he has been co-director of the Swiss­–Israeli project "Stamp-seals from the Southern Levant," a SINERGIA research project funded by the Swiss National Science Foundation [CRSIIS_La6426]. Since 2021 he has been the editor of Tel Aviv: Journal of the Institute of Archaeology of Tel Aviv University. In the past years, Koch has dealt with southern Levantine visual culture and local reactions to colonialism in the southern Levant during the second and first millennia BCE.
