Digitisation and Publication of the Finds from the Swiss Archaeological Mission in Tall al-Hamidiya, Northeast Syria
Since the 1990s, Dr. Oskar Kaelin has been involved in various archaeological and philological projects, as well as fieldwork in Oman and Syria. His research centers on international contacts and the exchange of ideas in the ancient Middle East. Currently, he is a lecturer on Near Eastern archaeology and languages at the University of Basel, Switzerland, in the Department of Theology (Old Testament and Semitic Languages) and the Department of Ancient Civilizations (Archaeology).
Since 1995, Oskar Kaelin has regularly participated in the excavations on Tall al-Hamidiya in the Khabur region, Syria, and, since 2008, has served as its Co-Director.
